Abstract: On the Basic Stages for Forming a System of Terms on the Topic “Atomic Industry":
The paper discusses some factors of extra-linguistic influence upon the formation of a terminological system. As the discussion basis the authors have chosen the nuclear industry terminology for it is a dynamically developing system with a diversity of subsystems. Practical examples are taken from the Russian and English languages because these two have the most robust terminology systems in the nuclear area.
